IndiGo increases salaries for pilots and crew by 8% days after 900 flights were delayed by mass sick leave.

IndiGo has increased the salaries of pilots and crew by the ration of 8%. The new salary will get into effect from August 1, 2022. This decision was taken after more than 900 IndiGo flights were delayed on Saturday as a bulk of cabin crew members took sick leave. All these delays happened on the same day when Air India conducted a recruitment drive.

During the COVID period, IndiGo reduced the pay of its crew and pilots. They apparently chose to stage this silent protest after receiving a poor pay check.
